Lifestyle
At every stage in life, maintaining your physical and mental health is important. A dedicated Activities Co-ordinator creates a daily activity program, in conjunction with residents requests and personal areas of interest. These can be scheduled throughout the day to encourage participation for all and to create a fun family environment.
Independent activity, hobbies and day-to-day tasks can boost an individuals’ self-confidence and as part of our person-centered care, we adapt this each individual. Our homes take pride in arranging special activities including birthdays or special milestones, religious celebrations, national days of celebration and events.
The local communities support us in maintaining an active healthy lifestyle within each home and we develop relationships to promote socialising, mobility, interaction, independence and self-confidence.

Digitised care planning suite, what is it?
Gold Care Homes has been implementing a robust Digitised Care Planning suite to make the planning and recording of care more efficient and person centred. Baugh House Care Centre have been recognised by both the CQC and regulatory authorities in using this system to engage with residents and families in the creation and updates to the planned care for residents. This allows an entirely personalised plan that is both targeted to the needs and wishes as well as the flexibility to adapt. As a result Baugh House won the Best Use of Care Management Software award at the Care Home Awards 2022.
How's the food?
Gold Care Homes maintain the highest standards of food safety and nutritional value through creating delicious and varied meals every day, whilst also providing for individual dietary needs. Residents are encouraged to eat and enjoy their meals in social dining areas and each home offers bespoke dining experiences, from outdoor BBQs to seasonal and themed events. What are the fees?
There are several options, including part and fully funded care. Prospective residents are advised to read our funding guide to understand the asset threshold requirements – this determines how much you are expected to pay. Residents can also access additional paid-for services including hairdressing, chiropody, opticians, daily reading material, and many more.
For residents wishing to upgrade their room experience to include dedicated internet service, movies on demand, private phone line/mobile, large flat screen (and more), speak to our Care Home Manager regarding the Gold Care Plus and Platinum room packages.
