WebsiteEmail Call
1. Book your free consultation
Schedule a convenient time to speak with a member of our expert care team. During this no-obligation call, they will offer advice on navigating the care system, discuss funding options, and help you determine whether live-in, short-term, or daily care is most suitable for your needs.
2. Complete a care appraisal
After the call, it’s time to complete our care appraisal. You can do this by creating a free MyElder account or by requesting a freepost form during your call. The appraisal covers everything from health requirements and medication to favourite meals and hobbies.
3. Matching process
From the information you provide, our matching team will use their expertise and advanced matching technology to find the most suitable carers from our community of over 4,000 professionals.
This depends on your requirements. If your family’s care needs are urgent, we can expedite the process and have everything in place within 48 hours. However, for the best match, we recommend allowing around two weeks.
Elder operates as an Introductory Agency as defined by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health & Social Care Act 2008. While this model is approved by the CQC, it falls outside the scope of their regulations.
Instead of employing the carers directly, we connect customers needing care with self-employed care professionals from the Elder network.
Unlike other companies, Elder is not a direct care provider. As an introductory agency, we specialise in matching your family with a suitable carer based on skills and personality. The carers we connect you with are self-employed care professionals.
We have a rigorous assessment process to ensure access to the best carers available. Each carer undergoes a face-to-face interview where we assess their skills and conduct a full DBS check.
Our carers come from a variety of nationalities and backgrounds, but all have a good level of English and at least one year of care experience in the UK. Many Elder carers have been in the care profession for over 10 years.
An Elder live-in carer is there to help your loved one live the best life possible.
Their tasks can include personal care, medication prompting, mobility assistance, toileting, cooking, housework, running errands, and providing companionship.
Since everyone’s needs are unique, the specific tasks your carer performs will be tailored to individual requirements.
Arranging care is a significant moment for a family, and at Elder we understand the gravity of this decision. That’s why we offer the first week of care as a trial period. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can end the care with minimal notice.
