We have 44 serene bedrooms, many with en-suites and recent renovations. Residents can choose from two cosy lounges and a conservatory, where they are also welcome to entertain relatives.
The grounds feature beautifully refurbished gardens, a courtyard, and a memorial garden, all well-maintained and enjoyed by residents, especially during the spring and summer months.
Activities – Residents at Brunswick House have the choice to relax and rest or participate in a variety of daily activities during the week. Regular outings to local areas of interest are also organised. Many activities are resident-suggested, and we continuously encourage this practice. Feedback and suggestions for improvements are always welcome, as our residents’ comfort and happiness are our top priorities.
Cuisine – Our in-house cooks at Brunswick House prepare fresh, varied, and balanced meals daily. Residents are provided with choices at every mealtime to ensure they enjoy their dining experience. We accommodate all dietary requirements, adapting meals to meet each resident’s individual needs.

Karen Shaw is a highly dedicated and experienced healthcare professional, proud to serve as the manager of Brunswick House Nursing Home. With over three decades of experience in the field, she has developed a deep understanding of the importance of providing the best possible care for residents. Karen is a qualified nurse committed to promoting the highest standards of care at Brunswick House.
Outside of work, Karen is a family-oriented person who lives in Gloucester with her husband. She has three children and four grandchildren, and in her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, as well as indulging in her hobbies of baking and needlework.
Alison Minto – Deputy Manager
Alison Minto is a highly accomplished and dedicated nurse with nearly 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout her career, Alison has focused on providing exceptional care to the elderly, which she considers more than just a job—it’s her true vocation.
After completing her nursing qualifications, Alison spent the initial nine years of her career in emergency care, gaining invaluable skills in handling critical situations. However, her genuine calling led her back to working with the elderly, where she believes she can make a profound impact on their lives.
